Hi there! I’m Joanna & the face behind all the desserts here at Blush Baking Co.

I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not in the kitchen. My mom is an incredible cook, and I was so lucky to grow up in the kitchen with her. This is where I learned many of the family recipes I still use to this day! There has never been a question about what I wanted to do when I grew up – I wanted to bake and be in the kitchen where I felt most at home. Baking brings so much joy! There is nothing like sharing sweet little bites with your family & friends! So, after graduating from Virginia Tech, I headed to Charlotte, NC where I studied Baking & Pastry Arts at Johnson & Wales University. This allowed me many great experiences that helped to develop my skills, from working in high-end executive dining rooms creating plated desserts for corporate events, to working for amazing catering companies creating unique menus for each client. All of this led to 2017 when I decided to take the leap of starting my own business, and I am so happy I did! Working with clients and couples brings me so much joy & I cannot wait to work with you!
